Homeschool Cooperative
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year opens to new families on March 24.
The Village Lutheran Homeschool Cooperative is a parent-led homeschool group for LCMS families in the St. Louis area. It is a ministry of Village Lutheran Church, under the supervision of Village’s Board of Christian Education. We meet on Monday mornings for Matins and classes for preschool through high school students. Our goal is to provide a forum for Lutheran families to pray together, encourage one another, and form friendships, while enriching the home education of their students.
High school students take a year-long theology course with an LCMS ordained minister or seminarian under the supervision of Village’s pastor; Village’s Deaconess, Patti Miller, offers art for all school-age students. Other classes are taught by parent volunteers. Aside from theology and art, class offerings will depend on what parents volunteer to teach. Three-year-olds through kindergarteners attend a parent-led preschool class, and a nursery area is available for children ages 0-3 to attend with a parent.
Each family volunteers to teach at least one class, and parents assist in classrooms when not teaching; a parent must attend each day their children attend. We collect a moderate supply fee from each family, which is used to purchase books and supplies for the classes. Registration priority will be given to families with 1st-12th grade students over those with only younger students.
