Staff
Our preschool staff focuses on forming relationships with each individual child, and our program grows out of teachers knowing and loving children and accepting them where they are developmentally.
Preschool Director – Mrs. Diane Caughlan
Mrs. Caughlan holds Associate's Degrees in both Child Development and Teaching. She is a certified Parents As Teachers Educator and received her Early Childhood Education Administrative certification in 2017. Mrs. Caughlan taught preschool from 1994 to 2018.
Fish Teacher – Ms. Claire Golden
Ms. Golden graduated from Ladue Horton Watkins High School in 2019 and attended Kenyon College from 2019-21. She plans to return to school to finish her degree in 2025. Claire also works in our Lunch Bunch and Summer Camp programs.
Fish Class Assistant – Ms. Olivia Caughlan
Ms. Caughlan graduated from Oakville Senior High School in 2023. She is currently attending St. Louis Community College and is pursuing her Associate's Degree in Child Development. Olivia is also a counselor in our Summer Camp program.
Bug Room Teacher – Mrs. Jessica Payne
Mrs. Payne graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia, Mo., in 1999. She attended Columbia College from 1999 to 2002. Jessica was a nanny and in-home care provider for 12 children between 2000 and 2021. Jessica also works in our Lunch Bunch program.
Croc Room Teacher – Mrs. Mary Michael
Mrs. Michael received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University in 2008. She received her Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy in 2014 and became a certified reading specialist. She taught Kindergarten for 13 years at Christ the King School in Springfield, Ill.
